The curtain of water crashed down upon Tenryu Kushinada. The raging currents swallowed him whole, and the cerulean tide washed him away. His body slammed against the underwater rocks, and his battered figure was pushed upon dry land, near the entranceway to the Village Hidden in the Waterfall. Here, he was able to lift his head, and sheepishly rake dirt and blood from his stained visage.
The Kushinada's eyes widened at the voice, which spoke directly to his mind. His body lunged heavenwards, but only fell victim to gravitational decent, which marched upon his back in the most agonizing of fashions; then came the water, and he was thrown into the pool of chaos once more.
The voice, again, called to Tenryu. It was odd, for it bore the qualities of kindness and malevolence betwixt amidst one another, and seemed to suggest and command at the same time; but Tenryu couldn't stand in the water, could he?
No matter. Such thoughts weren't up for consideration, for the waters took their toll upon his body again, and crashed him across the dirty basin of the lake.
Something snapped, and a darkness flooded The Kushinada. His body moved on its own, and he spun neatly through the water, only to touch upon the floor of the lake. Here, using some unearthly chakra control, Tenryu discovered that he could stand at the bottom of the lake. Though, when the lack of air stripped him of waking moments, he stood no more, and he was thrown back to the land, to dry and recuperate.
In his slumber, dreams of a three-tailed turtle came to him, and he befriended the oceans. Water became his guide, and darkness ensnared his heart.
When he awoke, Tenryu felt oddly refreshed. Confusion clawed at the corners of his mind, and answers constantly trekked just out of reach.
Stand.

``Exactly what is...Sanbi?``
