Name:
Hyuuga Ryuujin
Gender:
Male
Age:
16
Rank:
Chunnin
Village:
Sunagakure no Sato
Height and Weight:
5'11" 147lbs
Attire:
The clothing of this teenager was not normal, yet did not make him stick out as a different dresser. Wore a simple black tee-shirt with the right sleeve removed to expose his right arm, bandages bound his hand but not so much, and the collar was snuggly tight to his neck. Over that was a tan sleeveless vest with gold lining around the edge, the collar was larger and covered his neck around the back, but was never done up, leaving his black shirt exposed.. Simple black shorts were what he wore; they came a little past his knees allowing him mobility where ever he would travel. A weapon pack was tied around his right leg holding his secondary weapons. A red cloth was tied around his head as it always was considering he was born a Branch member of the Hyuuga, and was determined to hide it. A red cloth scarf-like article of clothing was what he had draped around his neck and torso whenever he traveled in Sand. No real significance with any of his clothes, he wears what he feels is comfortable. His left arm was completely bound in black bandages where his right was bare except his right hand which was bound in simple white bandages. Simple black shinobi shoes were all that kept his feet from being bare all the time. Sash tied around his waist was tan like his vest, and holsters for two kunai was able to be seen.
Physical Appearance:
Tall and skinny were this boy’s features, though he was built in a five foot ten inch height, one-hundred forty-five pound body. His hair was black and as it came to his skull turned brown in a unique way; his eyes were white and pupil less, considering he was a Hyuuga and all had those eyes. His arms were built well from constant training and his legs were long, fast and powerful; not overly muscular body frame, but just enough to deliver a devastating punch or kick and knock someone unconscious. His face was always displaying no emotion nor did his eyes as he learned to keep things from people living in the Hyuuga mansion.
His facial features are that of a ‘normal’ person, as in nothing is too big, nor too small. His lips, nose, ears, eyes, shin, cheeks all are normal size; his bone structure was thin and long however making his face that way, yet not so much noticeable. His forehead held the (in his opinion) damned curse of the Hyuuga clan’s Branch members; a green swastika accompanied by two lines from the right and left; but no one ever notices considering his cloth headband that he wears everyday to hide his curse. Hands and feet are that size of a normal sixteen year old, though his hands are a bit larger, but not by much; his fingers are long and skinny like the rest of him and make for ideal weapons with use of the Jyuuken. His head was somewhat oval going up and down, but not too bad; his eyes too off emphasis of any flaw in his figure, considering the intimidating white eyes of the Hyuuga.
Normally wearing a whitish, tanish colored cloth around him most the time as he travels in the land of Sand, his skin color has changed to a tanner tone living in Sand. Clothing that he wore was baggy and dark most of the time, unless he wore the ‘sand poncho’ as he called it; his clothing made him look bigger than he was, though not much. Overall, he’d stick out anywhere that wasn’t in Konoha.
Personality:
The young Hyuuga boy had a complex and ever changing personality depending on the company that surrounded him or the mood he was in. It was based solely how the other person acted and treated him. Not bipolar; he sometimes didn’t care much for the company that surrounded him and was how he normally is: Sarcastic, uncaring and joking always. His mind was always working as he was always thinking and trying to figure things out before they were said, he held the intelligence that most of the Hyuuga possessed plus. He was extremely talented and wise for his age and was often scolded for being a smart ass or being a know it all; sometimes correcting the teacher when he was in the academy.
The complexity of his personality starts with his normal persona; sarcastic, uncaring and joking always. He always injects a sarcastic comment whenever he can find an opening for it, mostly for the fact that the person giving him the opportunity to do it he would think as a stupid person, or merely to joke with them. Sometimes however he would just do it to piss the other person off, and he didn’t care either way.
Also he could be protective and guardian-like depending on the other person that he would be protecting; like most shinobi, he would put his life on the line for a friend and family member, though he didn’t have much of either; which could explain his uncaring emotion almost all the time.
Around elders, most females, and people that he respected though, his sarcastic tone and uncaring mood seemed to vanish as he would be polite and kind. This is reflected on the fact that they aren’t doing anything to anger the boy that is.
Shinobi Gear:
Radio
The short range radio is capable of keeping ninja in contact across several miles. The radio can accept multiple frequencies and is activated to talk by pushing a button on the neck attachment.
Exploding Note
The exploding note is a piece of parchment paper which has script on it that serves to faciltate its explosive properties. The ninja can attach the note to another object such as a kunai or log. When the note is set it begins a slow burn which results in a large explosion.
Exploding Flash Grenade
When the pin is pulled on this grenade, and thrown to the ground, the result is a large explosion that gives off a very bright flash of light. This is useful for blinding the opponet or opponents temporarily, making it easy to attack or escape.
Kunai
This throwing knife is one of the common weapons of a ninja. It is often kept in a holster on the leg in a pouch attached to the belt.
The Kunai can be used in conjunction with explosive tags and other weapons to form deadly combos.
Shuriken
Another common weapon, the shuriken is often kept in a holster on the leg or in a pouch attached to the belt.
Standard Weapon:
Palms, hands, feet.
Clan/Bloodline:
Hyuuga/Byakugan :
The Byakugan (literally "White Eye", Viz "Evil Eye") is a special pupil condition ("eye technique") that naturally occurs in members of the Hyuga clan (and thus only characters from the Hyuga clan possess it).
Although it seems the abilities of the Byakugan are inferior to those of the Sharingan (believed to be its genetic relative) because it cannot copy techniques that it sees or hypnotize human targets, in terms of insight the former surpasses the latter, as stated by Kakashi during the Chunnin exams.
A person with the Byakugan has a nearly 360 degree field of vision, except for a small blind spot behind the first thoracic vertebrae (near the back of the neck), which is its only known weakness. Byakugan users can detect anything around them within a 50-meter radius (although later in the manga Neji Hyuga manages to increase the radius to 800 meters), making them close-range combat experts. The Byakugan also gives the user the ability to see through basically any matter over extremely long distances. This seems to be a combination of x-ray and thermographic vision, as it has been noted that objects can be difficult to see if their temperature is the same as the objects around them. A small degree of telescopic vision is also present, as a Byakugan user can focus on a single object at any point within their range of vision. The degree of focus seems to be dependent on the skill of the user. The Byakugan's sight cannot be blocked (except in the case of something like Ranmaru's kekkei genkai ability), unlike the Sharingan, which can be blocked by any sufficiently non-transparent substance, making it useful for searching, tracking, and identifying targets. It is however, possible to impede it slightly through the use of certain powerful seals.
One of the most powerful aspects of the Byakugan is the ability to see the inner chakra coil system, which is the key aspect of using Gentle Fist to attack the system. If sufficiently developed, the Byakugan is able to see individual chakra points, potentially allowing the user to shut off the opponent's chakra flow completely, such that the opponent cannot perform techniques that require chakra. Seasoned Byakugan users are even capable of killing with a single blow.
Protection of the Byakugan ability is very important to the Hyuga clan, and has led to the development of an elaborate family hierarchy. The Hyuga clan is divided into two houses: the main house and the branch house. The branch house's main purpose is to protect the main house and the secrets of the Byakugan. Branch house members' abilities and freedom are restricted through the means of a cursed seal. The cursed seal is placed on a branch house member's forehead. Through the means of a special technique that only main house members know, the seal can be activated. When the cursed seal is activated, the person's brain cells will be destroyed. Through the use of the cursed seal, the main house makes the branch house subordinate to its wishes. In addition, whenever a branch house member dies, the cursed seal will also seal the Byakugan ability so that enemies will not be able to discover the secrets of the bloodline limit if Konoha's hunter-nin were unable to find and dispose the body before the enemy found it.
There are several techniques developed specifically for Byakugan users, which complement and make use of the Byakugan's abilities -- most notable among which are the defensive barrier technique Eight Trigram Palms Heavenly Spin and the high-speed precision attack Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms. Both Hinata and Neji have developed more powerful variants of these techniques.
NinJutsu:
Bloodlimit Jutsu's
Byakugan
The power and effectiveness of the Byakugan varies from person to person, but in the most advanced cases (such as that of Hyûga Neji), a Byakugan user has a 360 degree field of vision, with the exception of a small blind spot behind the user's first thoracic vertebrae (as stated in the manga), and can also see the minuscule chakra pressure points. With the use of certain hand seals, it also has telescopic, X-ray, and thermal vision. The Byakugan is the key to Konohagakure's strongest Taijutsu, the Jûken, as it allows the user to see the chakra circulatory system of an opponent. It is to be noted, however, that the Byakugan is a seeing eye that lacks the power of analysis. Each level of its insight can therefore be mystified by proper means. This is demonstrated in an anime filler arc by Ranmaru, who created false chakra circulatory systems through the use of a dôjutsu (possibly a bloodline limit), causing the Byakugan to see inanimate objects as people and the objects themselves at the same time. However, it is not considered canon in a filler episode that a Byakugan user is unable to see the workings of such an "illusion".
Wind Ninjutsu
Fuuton Furyuu no Jutsu (Wind Dragon)
Description: Creates a dragon formed from wind. The dragon looks like a large serpent, a traditional Chinese dragon that is twenty feet long. The dragon has a red mane and the rest of his body borders light blue. The color is not distinct because the wind manipulates it from its color to transparency. The dragon can shoot Kaze Kongou from its mouth.
Fuuton - Tsuin Doragon no Jutsu (Wind - Twin Dragon Technique)
Jutsu Description/Effect: Requires the only seal of dragon. It utilizes the element of wind to create two dragons that swirl around the user and can be moved through the air by chakra usage towards a target. The two dragons become feirce winds and collect any debris or anything that swirl around within it, and charge towards an enemy, slashing at them with fierce winds and a powerful blow. If the seal is formed upsidedown, the wind dragons can be used in a vaccuum sort of way; basically when the dragon's hit the user, the only effect it has on them is that it sucks the air out of them, causing lack of oxygen and possible suffocation.
Drawbacks: If there is little to no wind, the jutsu is basically a flop and hardly does any damage.
Jutsu Consumption: Can be used twice, for weak and strong, since it takes a lot of wind and even in the windiest of places, it can deplete an area of wind. Chakra consumption : moderate, B-rank chakra consumption
Other Jutsu's
Shunshin no Jutsu (Body Flicker Technique)
A high-speed movement technique. It is described as 'appearing with the wind and disappearing like the wind.' It's a very basic jutsu and it appears that most shinobi above Genin-rank know it.
Using chakra to activate the body, the user is able to move from one point to another with extreme speeds. This super-fast movement is almost impossible to see with the naked eye. To a normal person, it would seem as if the user has teleported. The amount of Chakra used depends on the distance and elevation between the user and the destination.

Jyuuken
The inner coil system that transfers chakra around the body is very close and is essentially a part of all of the human body, including crucial organs. Members of the Hyuga clan train in a special fighting style that requires the Byakugan and excellent chakra control; through the Byakugan they are able to see the opponent's inner coil system which they forcefully channel their own chakra into, causing severe damage to organs nearby. The technique earned its name because even a seemingly gentle, unimpressive hit can prove lethal. Juken bears a strong resemblance, at least in principle, to the Chinese martial art of Baguazhang (, "eight trigram palm").
Hakke Kusho (Eight Trigrams Empty Palm)
A palm thrust, capable of being done while out of arms' reach, that pushes away the victim violently with chakra. This is apparently used in a similar style as Hakkeshô Kaiten.
Hakkeshou Kaiten (Hand of the Eight Divinations, Divination Whirl)
This is Hyuuga's ultimate defense. Utilising their great chakra discipline the user releases a large amount of the energy from all of his tenketsu on his body and proceeds to spin like a top, creating a dome of chakra around the user that will shield and stop any attack, NinJutsu or TaiJutsu. This requires a huge amount of concentration and consumes a fair amount of chakra, but its defense cannot be breached. It is also virtually impossible to copy because, aside from being a bloodline move, the person attempting to copy it would have to have the same level of chakra control. Most high skilled Jounin find it difficult to emit chakra from even a few tenketsu in the heat of battle and for the Hyuuga to have mastered this move proves that they are a Genius clan. The Branch House members are not taught this technique.
Jyuuken Hou - Hakke Rokujuuyonshou (Jyuuken Move - Divination Field, 64 Strikes)
This is a devastating TaiJutsu move that incorporates Jyuuken and the Byakugan. The user imagines a Divination Field with the user at the centre on a YinYang symbol and two more circles around him where there are other symbols at regular intervals on the lines. If an opponent is within the YinYang symbol or on one of the outer symbols then one of Hyuuga's deadliest attacks can be performed. After settling into a wide-footed balanced stance the user attacks 64 of the 361 tenketsu on an opponent's body with a series of graceful carefully aimed finger strikes. First he seals 2, then 4 more, then 8 more and so on until 64 of the chakra openings have been blocked with a tiny burst of chakra. Once this is done the opponent's chakra centre shuts down and all major (note: major. The user cannot mold chakra, but does not die) chakra activity stops, causing immense pain and totally incapacitating the victim's body. This critical move, once used, will more than likely end any fight, and is one of the most powerful moves in the Hyuuga arsenal.

History:
Ryuujin, Ryuu for short, was born into the Branch, his mother and father both being from it, his grandparents. He had no siblings and did not know about any cousins, aunts or uncles. Never knowing his grandparents, his mother and father died from the curse seal after a rebel attempt. He was raised in the Branch by other members and learned the techniques from them; he never knew what had become of his parents after they attempted to rebel. But thought they had maybe escaped and were planning to save him one day, but they never appeared.
He went to the academy at age eight and made many friends in the konoha academy; acing his classes and the courses and things that they did in the school. He passed the academy at the age of ten and went on to being a gennin, rubbing it in the main members face that a branch member was better than some of the main members. His was practically glowing most of his childhood from being a gennin, and was taught most of the Hyuuga jutsu’s in private by a main member named Hyuuga Nikaro who took a liking to the young parentless Hyuuga member. Ryuu was quick to learn the techniques as was expected of him, Nikaro was like a father to Ryuu and they became very close; however the elders of the Main house didn’t like this and tore the two apart, which crushed the young Hyuuga.
About the age of fourteen he had learned the harsh truth from some of the other Branch members, what had become of his parents, this did not go so well with him, considering he was still crushed by the loss of his father-like figure. He grew resentful at the Main members, helping Branch members that had suffered an attack from the curse seal. Often acting out and rebelling as his parents did. He knows not to over do, lest he become like his parents. Although at times he wishes he could be with them again, as he never had the real chance too. This caused Ryuujin to gain the sarcastic, bitter, uncaring persona that he had grew up with all his life; causing most of the main members and branch members alike to dislike the young Hyuuga, who didn’t care for them anyway.
Age fifteen, Ryuu had seen a kid member of the Main house tormenting Branch members and got in the middle of it. The two yelled at one another for a bit until the situation took a turn where the kid hit Ryuu. Anger clouding his better judgement, he struck the kid back just as an older member came to see what the commotion was. Ryuu had never experienced any pain such as was inflicted on him. They decided to spare him for the fact that he had no parents and was still a young strong servant.
After this he went on, he was allowed to participate in the Chunnin exams and aced them with ease since the competition that he went against was weaker than he. He gloated more, only this time with “I’m better than you” attitude towards the other members, showing he was better than more than half of them. He was allowed more freedom in the mansion after becoming a Chunnin and went on missions with various others, who didn’t like him, and he didn’t like back.
Only a few months had gone by when another event happened, two Main kids had stolen food from the kitchen. Ryuu unfortunately was walking by when this happened and the stolen food was thrown to him, he was blamed for stealing it. Again he felt that pain, and pleaded for it to stop and was eventually spared again, though the pain lasted a bit longer. He tried to explain that it wasn’t him but he being a member of the Branch, his word was overruled. The kids had blamed it on him and he was unjustly punished once again, they had gotten away with it.
Only this time, the elders thought it best to kill the boy for his attitude and crimes so that there would be no fights or anything amongst the clan. But then they thought it might cause a sort of civil war in the clan that an infamous member was suddenly missing or worse, if they found out he was killed and decided on the simple decision of banishment. Ryuujin left after exchanging a few, ‘nice’ words with the members and left for the heart of Konoha where he joined up with two academy friends of his; Hahen Toosuta and Kakaku Garou. They were friends since academy and pooled their money together to get a place of their own; everything was going good until they started to hate one another for being such direct opposites of each other. They fought constantly and then Ryuujin got fed up and left; he was walking in the streets where he thought he saw someone following him. After he came to a secluded area, he was ambushed by a Hyuuga member; Ryuujin was outraged by this and killed the member.
After this he decided it best to leave konoha for good and did so; he traveled to the southwest for no apparent reason and came upon Sunagakure where he decided to make his life. He threw away his konoha headband and went to the academy there, passing the academy in record time; he was still a chunnin level shinobi and some of the sand gennin knew him from the chunnin exam.
